Plain-brown Woodcreeper, Dendrocincla fuliginosa

![]() There are nearly 30 species of woodcreepers in Ecuador, and I was happy to be able to get pictures of two of them in the Milpe area, at the transition between the tropical lowlands and the subtropical rainforest of the lower foothills. As the name suggests, they are found creeping along the bark of densely packed trees in dark forest, not the easiest birds to photograph. See also the Spotted Woodcreeper. |
