Green Kingfisher, Chloroceryle americana
These attractive little kingfishers are found in the United States along the southern border in Southeastern
Arizona and South Texas, where I've seen them but haven't been able to get a photograph. I did get this quite
distant shot at beautiful Pejeperro Lagoon behind Carate Beach on the Osa Peninsula of Costa Rica; it leaves me
wanting a better image.
