Cherrie's Tanager, Ramphocelus costaricensis
The spectacular male above; the more subtly beautiful female below. The two subspecies of the former Crimson-rumped Tanager were recognized as separate species, Cherrie's (Pacific side) and Passerini's (Caribbean side) Tanagers respectively. This bird was common around feeders at Lookout Inn in Carate.
