					This albino gull was observed several times in the winter of 2003-04 at the mouth of the Salinas River on Monterey Bay, mostly in the company of Western and Glaucous-winged Gulls. Experienced gull watchers identified it as probably a Western (though possibly a Glaucous-winged) on the basis of structure, and as a adult on the basis of its bill color, with the faint but apparently all-red gonys.
