Spotted Dove, Streptopelia chinensis
The Spotted Dove is a large dove native to much of southern and Southeast Asia and Indonesia, with established introduced populations in Southern California and all of the main Hawaiian Islands. It is a popular game bird in much of its native habitat and in wooded areas in Hawaii. I photographed this bird in Haena, Kauai.
