Two Red Knots in Fall migration, among dowitchers and Marbled Godwits -- the one on the left is molting but retains much breeding plumage, the one on the right, also shown in the next two pictures below,  is almost fully molted to non-breeding.

Below, two pictures of a what I believe to be the same juvenile Red Knot, the top one taken in October, showing much heavily scalloped feathering, the second in January, when much of the juvenal plumage has been replaced, but the legs retain the yellow-olive color.
