![]() These drab little flycatchers with the comically grandiose name can be recognized by the male's distinctive song, a sequence of clear whistles, usually five in succession. The one shown above and below was most forthcoming at Agua Caliente Park in Tucson in the spring of 2011, and a year earlier in the same place the bird in the third picture down had given me my first good shot at this species. |
