Maroon-tailed Parakeet, Pyrrhura melanura
A flock of these small parakeets flew into trees visible from the top floor of the dining building at Ecolodge
San Jorge Milpe, though at a distance that didn't allow for the best photos. These were the only members of
the parrot family we were able to photograph in our week on the western slope of the Andes.
