Lucy's Warbler
Lucy's Warblers are the plainest of this colorful family, their only color being the inconspicuous and often invisible chestnut rump and crown patches, seen above and below. More often the birds appear plain gray all over, as in the two photos further down the page. They are rare in Northern California, where the picture above and the one next down were taken; their normal home is the Arizona desert, site of the picture below and the one at the bottom of the page.
