Female Eurasian and American Wigeons are very similar, but Eurasians have a somewhat warmer head color, and lack the small black border usually seen at the gape of Americans. Below, a male hybrid American x Eurasian Wigeon joins an American Wigeon male chasing an American female. These two species readily hybridize. | |
