![]() The Eastern Wood-Pewee is distinguishable from the Western mainly by voice; the one shown above and below gave the upslurred "pe-WEE" call from which the two species take their names. But the name is misleading in the case of the western cousin, which has no vocalization that sounds anything like "pe-wee." |
